Speech Assistant AAC is a text-to-speech (TTS) app designed to assist individuals who have speech impairments, such as Aphasia, MND/ALS, Autism, Stroke, Cerebral Palsy, or other speech difficulties.

The app allows users to create categories and phrases that can be placed on buttons. These buttons can be used to generate messages that can be displayed or spoken through the text-to-speech feature. Users also have the option to type any desired text using the keyboard.

Backup and Restore function for categories and phrases provides added convenience.

Fully Customizable:

Button size, text box size, and text size can be adjusted to suit individual needs.
The app offers various color schemes, and users can even create a personalized color scheme.
Individual buttons with phrases can be assigned different colors for easier identification.

Full-screen Mode:

Show messages in full-screen mode with a very large font for optimal visibility.
Highly useful for communication in noisy environments.
Rotate text button allows messages to be displayed to the person facing you.

Other Features:

Share messages via email, text, or social media platforms.
Connect a Bluetooth keyboard and create shortcuts for Speak, Clear, Show, and Attention Sound functions.
Option to prevent accidental double tapping by temporarily disabling buttons after being touched.
Undo option available in case of unintentionally tapping the clear button.
Attention sound button accessible on both the main screen and full-screen mode.

Voice Selection:

The app does not come with its own voice. Instead, it utilizes the voice installed on the user's device. For example, users can choose from the voices provided by "Speech Services by Google" which offers male and female voices in multiple languages. If a particular voice is not available on the device, it can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. Users can select their preferred voice within the app's voice settings.

Full Version:

The basic version of the app is free. However, users have the option to upgrade to the full version through the app's settings. Upgrading to the full version requires a one-time payment and does not involve any subscription fees. The full version offers additional features, including:

Unlimited number of categories.
Backup and Restore functionality for added convenience.
Option to select symbols from a set of 3400 Mulberry Symbols (mulberrysymbols.org).
Ability to change the color of individual buttons.
Access to history for quick retrieval of previously spoken phrases.
Create user profiles for different languages, situations, or individuals.
Tabs for easy switching between multiple conversations.
Option to record speech onto a button and import voice recordings into the app.
